I heard about your 24 Sept Kyoto event coming up soon. I would like to come along and volunteer if you think I could help in any way with the evening cultural talks.
I was born in California, have lived in London for 15 years and live in Kyoto part of the year, usually during the spring and autumn. I am one of the Trustees of the Japan Society of the UK and I sometimes give talks on Kyoto (I recently gave one for a small language school that started over the summer). I do not speak Japanese fluently but I have a strong knowledge of British, European and Japanese culture and history, especially the city of Kyoto. I am a public speaker, so if you think I can help somehow, please let me know. Cheers. Pauline

Please allow me to introduce myself, I am the Chief Instructor for the UK of a Japanese Swordsmanship Martial Art called Shinkendo. I also teach the counter un-armed martial art called Aikibujutsu. Full details can be found on my website. I will shortly be starting the first London based dojo and am currently recruiting students. Kyoto event is a really cool event; I’ve made so many friends and hope to be able to speak Japanese with them soon! There are very cute boys too, it’s hard to choose!
